The Age of Stupid | Online Film Screening This Saturday

Why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?

A future archivist looks at old footage from the year 2008 to understand why humankind failed to address climate.

It's the year 2055 and the world has been ravaged by climate change. London is underwater, Sydney is on fire and nuclear war has turned India into a wasteland. An archivist looks back at old footage from the year 2008 to understand why humankind failed to address climate change. From the director of McLibel and starring Pete Postlethwaite, this bold, provocative film looks back and asks: why didn't we stop climate change when we had the chance?

INHABIT: A Permaculture Perspective | Re-screening This Saturday

Inhabit is a feature length documentary introducing permaculture: a design method that offers an ecological lens for solving issues related to agriculture, economics, governance, and on. The film presents a vast array of projects, concepts, and people, and it translates the diversity of permaculture into something that can be understood by an equally diverse audience. For those familiar, it will be a call to action and a glimpse into what's possible - what kind of projects and solutions are already underway. For those unfamiliar, it will be an introduction to a new way of being and a new way of relating to the Earth. For everyone, it will be a reminder that humans are capable of being planetary healing forces.

Please join us for this special online film screening on Saturday. We are re-screening it because of popular demand! The 90-min documentary will be followed by a discussion with Antoine Bernardeau, the co-founder of Inaya Permaculture and a special guest.

The Need To Grow | Free Online Film Screening This Satuday

The Need To Grow is a feature documentary following underdog leaders of decentralized solutions and cutting edge technologies to fix our broken food system and regenerate our planet’s dying soils. With an estimated 60 years of farmable soil left on Earth, more toxic chemicals sprayed than ever before, seed varieties going extinct, bees dying off, historic water shortages, epidemics of malnutrition, the time to heal our food system, our environment and ourselves is now. But can we feed the world without destroying it?

This film delivers the most alarming research on why soils are so important to our ecosystem - it reveals not only the potential of localized food production models that work with nature, but more importantly, reveals our potential as active participants in an interconnected biosphere to become a planetary force to restore the Earth.

Please join us for this special online film screening on Saturday. The movie will be followed by a discussion with Aya & Manal, the co-founders of Namliyeh about their activities in Jordan and their review on the film.

Green Gold | Free Online Film Screening This Satuday

"It's possible to rehabilitate large-scale damaged ecosystems." For more than 15 years, environmental film maker John D. Liu has been working on his worldwide mission to green deserts and to restore biodiversity. It all started in 1995 when Liu filmed the Loess-plateau in China. He witnessed a local population who turned an area of almost the same size as The Netherlands from a dry, exhausted wasteland into one green oasis. This experience changed his life. From that moment on, Liu has been travelling all over the world to convince and inspire government leaders, policy-makers and farmers with his film material and knowledge.

Please join us for a special online screening of his film Green Gold this Saturday. The screening will be followed by a short discussion on permaculture and a presentation of Inaya's upcoming activities in Jordan.

Cost: FREE! (Grab your organic popcorn though)
